Riot Games API Compliance
Gatecrash is a registered third-party application using the official Riot Games API. This product is not affiliated with or endorsed by Riot Games. VALORANT and all related intellectual property are owned by Riot Games, Inc. Use of this Service is subject to Riot Games' Developer Policies.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Gatecrash ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms are in addition to, and do not supersede, Riot Games' Terms of Service, Privacy Notice, and Legal Jibber Jabber. Your use of Valorant and your Riot Account remains governed by those agreements.
2. Nature of the Service
Gatecrash is an independent, community-built Valorant statistics tracker. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc. VALORANT, all agent names, maps, and related assets are the intellectual property of Riot Games, Inc. and are used under Riot Games' third-party developer policies.
Gatecrash uses the official Riot Games API, subject to Riot's General Policies and Game-Specific Policies.
3. Player Data Opt-In & Riot Sign On (RSO)
Gatecrash only displays personal player statistics for players who have explicitly opted in to sharing their data. This is a requirement of Riot Games' VALORANT API policies for all approved third-party applications.
Opt-in is performed through Riot Sign On (RSO) — Riot's official OAuth authentication system. By signing in with your Riot Account, you authorise Gatecrash to access your account information (Riot ID, PUUID, and match data) and display it within the Service.
- You must be signed into a Gatecrash account linked via RSO before your personal match history, rank, or stats are visible to other users.
- Players who have not opted in via RSO will not have their detailed stats surfaced to other users through Gatecrash.
- You can revoke access at any time by unlinking your Riot Account from your Gatecrash account in Settings.
- Revoking access removes your data from public display within 24 hours.
We do not access your Riot account credentials. All authentication is handled securely by Riot Games' servers. Gatecrash only receives the access token and the account information you approved during the RSO login flow.
4. Public Profiles & the Player Finder
Gatecrash includes an optional "Find a Duo" player directory. Appearing in this directory is entirely opt-in. By enabling a public profile you consent to the following information being visible to all visitors of the Service:
- Your Riot ID (game name and tag)
- Your current rank and RR
- Your selected region
- Your bio, Discord handle, preferred game mode, and comms preference (if provided)
You are solely responsible for any content you submit to your public profile. Do not include personally identifying information beyond a Discord handle. Gatecrash reserves the right to remove any profile at its discretion, including profiles that violate Riot Games' Terms of Service.
Public profiles can be disabled at any time from Settings. Your profile will be removed from the directory immediately.
5. Prohibited Uses
In compliance with Riot Games' API policies, the following uses are strictly prohibited:
- Scouting: Using Gatecrash to view an opponent's stats before a match starts in order to gain a competitive advantage.
- Cheating or game integrity violations: Any use that creates an unfair in-game advantage.
- Automated scraping: Bulk or automated access to the Service's API routes.
- Betting or gambling: Using any data from the Service to facilitate wagering, gambling, or betting of any kind.
- Circumventing the opt-in system to access or display data for players who have not consented.
6. Monetization
Gatecrash is currently free to use. In compliance with Riot Games' monetization policies, any future paid features will be transformative in nature (adding new value beyond the raw data), a free tier will always be available, and no betting, gambling, or wagering features will ever be offered. All monetization approaches will remain within Riot Games' approved guidelines.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be accurate or up-to-date. Player statistics are provided for informational purposes only.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GATECRASH, ITS OPERATORS, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING INACCURATE STATISTICS, SERVICE DOWNTIME, API UNAVAILABILITY, OR ACTIONS TAKEN BASED ON DATA DISPLAYED. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
9. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Gatecrash account at any time, including for violations of these Terms or Riot Games' policies. You may delete your account and all linked Valorant accounts at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your public profile and all stored preferences are removed immediately.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
11. Contact
Gatecrash is an independent community project. For questions about these Terms, data requests, or to revoke your opt-in, contact us via Discord or open an issue on the project repository. For issues related to your Riot Account or Valorant data, contact Riot Support.
